Principal's Message

Greetings RES Family,

It’s time to start another amazing learning adventure at Ridgeland Elementary School.  Our facilities have been thoroughly cleaned and neatly painted.  The classrooms are ready to be occupied by our young scholars and brilliant teachers. Aquos boards have been purchased and installed in almost every classroom.  All of the fourth and fifth-grade classrooms have laptop carts. Therefore, those students will have the opportunity to go one to one on a daily basis. Each grade level has at least one laptop cart.  Our school has five computer labs and one Science lab.  Flocabulary, First in Math, Reading A-Z, Learning A-Z, and Accelerated Reader are just a few of the licenses and programs purchased by the school for all students to utilize.  RES will have a few new staff members.  However, the majority of the staff will be returning for more teaching and learning.

As you transition into the new school year, I challenge each and every one of you to have a growth mindset.  Focus on all of the potential and possibilities that await our school.  Also, students and staff members keep the following in mind:

The vision of Ridgeland Elementary School is to become a school of excellence that enables all students to reach their maximum potential academically and socially.

The mission of Ridgeland Elementary School is to provide students the opportunity to gain social and academic skills while building an educational bridge between elementary and middle school; thus preparing students for the world emphasizing innovative educational experiences.

Ridgeland Elementary School – “Where teachers are effectively teaching and students are continuously learning.”

Educationally submitted,
