Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Taylor-Parnell, and I am thrilled to be your teacher this school year. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching at Ridgeland Elementary School for the past eight years, and I absolutely love working with 5th Grade students, especially in Mathematics and Science.

This year promises to be full of exciting learning opportunities, growth, and adventure. We will focus on strengthening your skills in Math and Science, helping you become confident, curious, and capable learners. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and creating a classroom environment where we support one another and have fun while learning.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every child has the potential to succeed when given the right tools, encouragement, and environment. My classroom is a place where students are empowered to ask questions, explore new ideas, and take ownership of their learning. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging space where students feel valued and inspired to do their best. Through collaboration, critical thinking, and hands-on learning, I aim to help each student grow academically and personally.
