Welcome
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! My name is Reyna Watson, and I am the school counselor for students in Pre-K through 2nd grade at Ridgeland Elementary School. It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with our students, families, staff, and community stakeholders.
As a school counselor, my goal is to support the academic, career, and social-emotional growth of every student. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where all children feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. Through classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, individual counseling, and collaboration with teachers and families, I work to help students develop the skills they need to be successful both in school and in life.
Every day as a school counselor is a new adventure, and I genuinely look forward to coming to work each day to support our students. Whether celebrating successes, helping students navigate challenges, or encouraging them to achieve their goals, I am committed to being a positive resource for our school community.
I strongly believe that a successful school experience is built on a partnership between school and home. Open communication and collaboration are essential in helping students thrive. If you ever have questions, concerns, or would like additional information about counseling services, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email.
I am excited about the opportunities that this school year will bring and look forward to working together to make the 2026–2027 school year a positive, productive, and rewarding experience for all students. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's educational journey.
