WELCOME to the 2023- 2024 school year at Ridgeland Elementary School! Proudly, this is my ninth school year of service to the children of RES as School Counselor for Grades 3 to 5, and I look forward once again to working closely with parents, students and fellow educators in my efforts to assist the children of Jasper County with their academic, social, personal and career goals.
I grew up in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia and hold a Masters Degree in Education - School Counseling from Liberty University as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina. I have one lovely daughter, Phoebe (22). Phoebe graduate cum laude from the College of Charleston in May of 2023 and went straight to the University of Virginia to work on her Master's Degree in Sports Medicine. I am one proud Mama! I have two dogs - Klaus, a friendly and loving pitbull and Ritz, a very sweet miniature poodle - as well as two cats: Dutchess and Kitty! I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising, reading books and watching classic movies.
I am so grateful to be a part of the RES Family, and I appreciate the opportunity to continue serving your wonderful children. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
Respectfully,
Cindy Higgins
