📚 Parents Showing Up for Our Scholars!

Ridgeland Elementary School had an exceptional turnout for its Mandatory Third Grade Parent Meeting! 👏🏾

Thank you to all of the parents and guardians who took the time to attend, learn more about your child’s academic data, and receive important information about South Carolina’s Read to Succeed Act.

Read to Succeed is South Carolina’s statewide literacy initiative designed to strengthen reading achievement. The law includes specific reading supports and interventions for students, including requirements related to third grade reading proficiency. Beginning with the 2024-25 school year, students who do not demonstrate reading proficiency on the SC READY Reading assessment may be subject to third grade retention unless they qualify for a good cause exemption.

Meetings like this help families understand where their scholars are academically and how they can partner with the school to support continued growth.
