About Me
Let me tell you a little about myself. I currently live in Beaufort, SC. My grandma is originally from the Ridgeland area. I enjoy singing, reading, drawing, painting buildings pictures and landscapes, attending church and spending time with family and friends. When I do find time I enjoy watching TV classic shows at home. This year will be my 7th year of teaching at Ridgeland Elementary. I have taught Pre-K for 3 years and this will be my 4th year teaching first grade. This school year will begin my 12th year teaching and working with students. I am always researching ways to introduce new learning through art, technology and hands on learning .

Education Experience
I have attended numerous colleges and universities and have received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. I also attended Cathedral Bible College in Myrtle Beach, SC where I received my first Masters in Christian Counseling Degree. Also, I have my second Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. I am both certified and licensed to teach in both SC & NC. In the summer of 2021, some selected teachers and I have been in a fantastic training planning curriculum unit for instruction with our new Math Rigorous Curriculum Design (RCD). There will be seven awesome math units for the entire school year and for each unit students will have a "Big Idea" and tasks that they will have to complete with hands on learning in the classroom. I am looking forward to teaching your child and watching them grow academically this school year! I am expecting great things this school year for every student! We will be working hard to meet our academic goals in reading, math, science, social studies, writing and phonics. Students who meet goals will be rewarded. Nothing is impossible!
