Welcome!

     I welcome you and your child to 4th grade! My name is Ms. Nyree Simmons. I will be your child's teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this school year. This will be an informative and exciting year! You will be amazed and proud at how much your child will grow this year. Your child will build on their Reading, Writing, and Math skills. They will learn new and exciting information in Science and Social Studies. Because each student learns differently, they will progress differently. It is important as parents that you monitor their work and study habits.

     Expectations and goals will be set high and your child will be encouraged to reach their full potential. One key component to a child's academic success is parental involvement. I strongly encourage you to take an active role in your child's education. I will sign homework logs/agendas daily and note your child's behavior. Please read, review and discuss any notes with your child.  Please feel free to write or attach any notes, as I will also read them. You can also email me at [email protected]. I will have a ClassDojo account where you can message me as well. The homework log/agenda, ClassDojo, and email will serve as primary forms of communication due to phone calls interrupting the instructional time. You may also request a scheduled conference time so that we can discuss any concerns and review student work. Again I look forward to working with you for the success of your child. By working together, we can assure your child a successful school year!
